• What is a photo shoot like and where will it be?
  Photos are shot on location, either at your home, a local park or any other site you feel is most comfortable for your family. Sessions usually take about 45 minutes depending on the number of people in the photo, however we work at your pace. If your child needs a break, we take a break.

• What should I wear?
  A simple, classic look is better for a timeless photo. Avoid busy patterns, trendy looks and logos that detract from faces. In general, solid colors draw attention to the individual and not the clothes. White shirts with jeans or khaki pants are always good. Consider a color theme for large groups, like denim/khaki, jewel tones, or pastels.

• What should I bring?
  When photographing babies and small children, feel free to bring a favorite toy that might help comfort them. We welcome any personal items you may want included in a photo, like a favorite stuffed animal, family heirloom rattle, or mom’s floppy hat.

• When is the best time for photos?
  Generally, early morning and late afternoon provide more flattering lighting. The high sun of mid-day can cast harsh shadows on our subjects. However, smaller children may be better scheduled according to their “happy” times.

• How does payment work?
  The sitting fee is due when the pictures are taken. Any additional costs for reprints or cards are invoiced when the work is completed.

• How long does it take to see proofs? To get reprints?
  Proofs are made available through the web site within two weeks. They will remain accessible for 21 days after posting and then are removed from the site. (You may have your album reposted for a $10 reuploading fee.) Once an order is placed, reprints are usually ready within two weeks.

• What if I need to reschedule?
  If something comes up and you need to reschedule, please call at least 24 hours in advance.
