Old Baylor Park in Independence TX
Independence is about 10-15 minutes north of Brenham and about one hour and 45 minutes from the intersection of Hwy. 90 and Grand Parkway (maybe quicker, depending on how familiar you are with the drive). Allow yourself enough time to get there; our shoots are tightly scheduled every 30 minutes. (Sitting fee is $75.) There are bathrooms at the park and picnic tables under huge oak trees. Here are the directions to get from Sugar Land to Old Baylor Park:

• Take Grand Parkway north to I-10.
• Go West on I-10 to Sealy.
• Exit Hwy 36 in Sealy and turn RIGHT heading north. (Or, if it’s more convenient for you, you can take Hwy 36 from Richmond up to Sealy and beyond.)
• Follow Hwy 36 through Bellville and into Brenham.
• When you come into Brenham, you’ll pass under Hwy 290. Continue north through the residential area.
• At the 4-way stop, turn RIGHT onto Tom Green (you’ll see signs to “HistoricDowntown” and “Business 36″).
• Then a quick LEFT to follow Business 36.
• RIGHT on W. Alamo (at a red light) (Look for “Must Be Heaven” ice cream parlor on the right; town square is on the left.)
• Follow signs to East 105.
• LEFT on N. Chappel Hill St.
• The road will veer to the right to stay on E 105. (Soon you’ll seem to be driving out of town.)
• At FM 50, turn LEFT.
• Drive about 8 or 9 miles north to Independence.
• At FM 390, turn LEFT.
• Old Baylor Park is almost immediately on the right.  There is a nice section of bluebonnets on the left as well.  Look for me on the left first.

Directions to Pecan Park in New Territory:
From Hwy 6, go west on Hwy 90A to New Territory.
Pass through two lights and then turn LEFT at Gateway Blvd. (If you get to Grand Pkwy/Hwy 99, you’ve gone too far.)
At the “T” turn RIGHT on Homeward Way and circle around about a half mile.
Turn LEFT on Pecan Orchard Dr. (There’s a median in the road.)
Within about 400 yards, you’ll see a lake and park on the left.
Turn LEFT into Pecan Park West.

To Pecan Park from Greatwood:
Go north on Grand Parkway/Hwy 99.
RIGHT on New Territory Blvd. (at the Randall’s).
At the first light, take a LEFT on Homeward Way.
RIGHT on Pecan Orchard Dr. (There’s a median in the road.)
Within about 400 yards, you’ll see a lake and park on the left.
Turn LEFT into Pecan Park West.

To Pecan Park from Pecan Grove/Richmond:
Take Hwy 90A to Grand Parkway/Hwy 99.
RIGHT on Grand Parkway/Hwy 99.
At the first light, turn LEFT on Sandhill Dr.
At the stop sign, take a RIGHT on Homeward Way.
LEFT on Pecan Orchard Dr. (There’s a median in the road.) Within about 300 yards, you’ll see a lake and park on the left.
Turn LEFT into Pecan Park West.

Directions to Oyster Creek Park:
(From the intersection of Hwy 6 and Hwy 59)
Go south on Hwy. 6 toward Missouri City.
Pass through the lights at Williams Trace and Settlers Way.
Oyster Creek Park is on the left very shortly after Settlers Way.
Park in the parking lot and walk across the bridge. I’ll meet you near the fountain.

Directions to Sienna Golf Club:
From Hwy 59, turn south on Highway 6 going toward Missouri City. Continue south for approximately 6 miles to Sienna Parkway. Turn right and follow the signs to the Golf Club.

Directions to Eve’s Garden in Brookshire TX:
From the Sugar Land area, take Hwy 90A to Grand Parkway (Hwy. 99) and turn north heading toward I-10. Go west on I-10 to Brookshire TX. Take Exit 732 to Brookshire and turn right at FM-359. Turn right at South St. Eve’s Garden will be 6 blocks on your left at the corner of South St. and Kenney Street.
